Description:

This painting was selected for the Long Beach City College Art Student Art Show, opening from April 30th to May 16th, 2008.

I like to ask people what they think this painting is supposed to represent before I tell them my take on it. In case you can't read the titles on the books that the hand is bringing down, they are Plato and the Republic, Calculus, Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, and Origin of Species. This painting, based on a collage, was created for a class assignment. My professor selected me for the student art show based on this piece. Out of approximately 300 students, he's able to select 6. Hopefully, you can also see this in the 2008 Made in California exhibition at the City of Brea Art Gallery.
