The fish was probably jumping for flies and the bird, a tern, was scanning the loch for fish:-) But I was jumping for joy to capture these wonders of Mother Nature.
It was just after dawn at the beginning of June. As I was standing on the small harbour pier quietly photographing the tern on its path over Loch Indaal, I noticed something move out of the corner of my eye. My camera was fixed on my tripod so had limited movement, but I managed to capture the fish which was mid-air and as it twisted and splashed back into the salty waters of the sea loch.
