Description:

If you saw the original sketch for this piece, you would NOT believe the two are related. My kids had such a laugh looking at the squiggles and circles I drew while trying to design this piece. A sketcher I am not. Heh… Anyway, after "designing" this on paper, I took some 14 gauge sterling wire, formed, and hammered out the basic pieces. Then I combined 24 and 26 gauge sterling wire with some Bali silver, some Thai silver and some Carnelian beads to produce the main portion of the necklace. There is no clasp… the "chain" is two lengths of sterling silver loop connections that hook onto the wire piece in the front of the necklace. This would also mean that if you wanted to wear the necklace shorter than its current length, you could cut the loop chain to your preference.

Created with:

Bali Silver (.925): Hand-decorated sterling beads crafted by Balinese silversmith artisans. It has taken me a few years of research and trial and error, but I have finally found a few suppliers of the absolute BEST quality Bali silver ever. Look around, compare for yourself… Then look at the beads in Laura Bracken jewelry. When I say "The Difference is in the Details", it could almost solely refer to the Bali beads I use; they are phenomenal, put together with meticulous care, never sloppy or gunky… they are true miniature works of art and I couldn't be more proud to work with these fine silversmith artisan families.

Carnelian (6, 4, & 2mm): Unless noted otherwise, all the gemstones used in Bracken Designs jewelry are natural and genuine. We also only work with a few select suppliers for gemstones, as we prefer the highest quality and least treated (dyed, heated, waxed, etc) items.

Sterling Silver: All our silver jewelry pieces are sterling or higher (Hill Tribe Silver is pure silver, higher silver content than sterling), including all accents and findings. We never used plated or any of the lower quality or fake silvers (German Silver, Silver Fill, Nickel Silver, Alpaca Silver, etc).

The size of the necklace is hard to tell exactly because the centerpiece goes down into a V-shape, but basically it wears at about 18 inches (but as mentioned above, the new owner can make the length shorter if desired).

Our one-of-a-kind designs are not repeated.
