Eye Of The Beholder
Painting - Watercolor
First Place 2012 eARTh competition
Inspiration for Eye of the beholder came from the contemplation moments found within the Crucible. With its all seeing eye, it stands guard like a century of times long past, ever vigil, watching over natureís complex & intricate palace. On first view, the gardenís beauty is abundantly clear however upon closer observation, one finds more than meets the eye. As each layer awaits exploration & appreciation, a new, more beautiful layer sits waiting to be discovered. Many of the gardenís most wondrous sites are found in its smallest, most delicate components such as the Oconee bells, precious in their beauty & rarity, flourishing along the banks of the stream nearby.
