Description
Facade
Shakespeare once wrote:” All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages.”
As You Like It Act 2, scene 7, 139–143
Upon seeing this mask it brought back the above quote. This particular mask seems so intricate in it’s decoration I thought it was a perfect metaphoric illustration of peoples and their ways. It’s richness is a perfect symbol of how we tend to idolize money and material wealth completely masking in some cases our humanity. Greed is good for (nothing) a price.
