Painting - Oil/ Pastel On Canvas
the Looking Glass
He notes her image in the glass,
Though soft, kind,
Casts too little shadow
To pay him no mind.
And he reaches out to her,
Yet she will not meet his gaze,
Yearns to hold on to her, knows,
They must go their different ways.
And where he goes,
She dare not follow,
Her heart cries out to him
He hears only silence echo.
But he too, is not free,
Though it is she must remain confined,
For both are prisoners,
She of his body, he her mind.
