Fall Love Letters
Photograph - Digital Art Photography
I found this leaf on the pavement yesterday after Church (9/30/12) and didn't even touch it. I photographed it just how it was -- as a perfect heart! Rather than present this lovely aged leaf with the pavement background, I've textured the image with letters and postcards from my family in Czechoslovakia that I received after a trip there in 1970. At the top and bottom of the image is lace. While the words of the letters are in Czech and I no longer can read them, they are kind of love letters (from my relatives)! The penmanship of the writer is beautiful!
Now that I am in the "fall or autumn of my lifetime," I can relate to this aging leaf. While it may be dry and crackled a bit, it is still beautiful and has a little while longer before winter when it will disintegrate and become part of the soil.
The big difference is that because of the precious heart of our Father in Heaven, I will not just disintegrate and become part of the soil. Because of the work Jesus did at the Cross for you and me, we've been offered His free gift of eternal life in Heaven with Him! I've accepted that gift... Have you?
