Hi Donna! Thanks for your comment. There is a long rectangular room in the jewish museum in Berlin which is part of, what is known as, the memory void. The room is tall and made from bare concrete. The floor is covered in these individually cut metal discs. Each disc is cut with a gas torch and each one is unique. There are small discs, as you can see in the photo, obviously representing the children who died in the holocaust. The exhibit is called Shalekhet (Fallen Leaves). A powerfully emotional place to visit, if you are ever in Berlin.
