Fatal Attraction - Abstract Realism
Painting - Oil-acrylic-watercolor
Fatal Attraction does not come from the the movie by the same name, but the work was certainly inspired by it - although not as the movie depicted attraction itself. My work, and abstract realist painting, was more from an inner feeling of self questioning about what motivates our attractions to something or someone. Every portion of this work is a part of life.
Do we often chase things in life that are more than we need, or totally uneeded only to discard them at a later date after we feel the very item, or person, that attracted us did not bring us the happy outcome we so desired.
I often ponder the questions of what are wants, what are needs, and what are mere wishes and whims that we truly don't want but are mere daydreams that grant us relief from the stresses of everyday life. This is a deep subject, and one I cannot give credit to here no matter how I try.
I always ask myself, "Do I need this?". I do this all the time, and hence this inspirational abstract art. ~ From the words of a former hoarder :)
