I have a photo from the 1980s on my office wall that I took of a mother and baby monkey imprisoned behind bars at a zoo. This heartbreaking photo immediately reminded me of it. Hopefully, reminders such as this unforgettable image will soon eliminate excuses to imprison animals such as this precious creature - if caring people of all generations would only loudly express their outrage in various forums.

Nice close up and I love the eyes on this one Karen! I see curiosity and wonder in this expression, and I love the strength of the facial features! Looks a little like my uncle Gustav! LOL

so much emotion on that little face. I don't go to zoo's for this reason. It is heart breaking. In the doctors office yesterday I sat and stared at a tank of beautiful tropical fish. One large one was beating himself against the glass. Maybe a new capture. Sad
