Aiton Heights Fire Tower, Itasca State Park, Minnesota
A sign nearby the tower quotes this excerpt from a poem, "The Fire Warden" by Alice Bailey. "From the early spring to autumn, on the mountain's lofty height, is the faithful fire warden, watching from morn 'til night. Jealously he guards the forest from the enemy called flame. Ever watchful, ever faithful is his motto and his aim."
