Five 1869 Illustrations Of Sea Island
Photograph - Photograph
Five 1869 illustrations of Sea Island cotton production sorting cotton, the cotton plant, carrying cotton to the gin, planting cotton, and weighing cotton. Long fibered Sea Island cotton accounted for only a small percentage of the U.S. cotton crop because it needed a warmer and wetter climate than the hearty Upland cotton.
