Description:

This photo is of rhododendrons that I found in a home that my husband and I purchased in June, 2011. The home had a multitude of rhodis that just were not supported by the landscape, so we ended up having to cut down those that encroached viciously upon the house and others that were just not placed in a suitable manner. I saved all that I could, and this is one that was saved.

The rhododendrums bloom enmass. One day there are a few buds, but don't let too many days go by before you will see a canopy of blossoms, bouquets of flowers on the plant, petals falling to the ground, colors of pink, white and red blooming everywhere you look.
......
I had hoped to capture the essence of the bloom in this image without any distractions of the surrounding landscape. It's pureness, singular nature of each bud that forms the combined blossom. It's really worth a few moments to just stand next to such God given beauty to appreciate the wonder of it's complex existence. Pure, God given beauty.
