Description:

Painted plein air at Fort Foster, looking out at the rescue station in Portsmouth Harbor, NH. The Casements were the foundation for a causeway out to the rescue station. The Causeway blew away in a hurricane and the rescue station became inactive and the roadway was not rebuilt. To the left of the painting is the Whaleback Light House. The painting cost me an extra ten dollars. Since I'm not a Maine resident, I had to pay to get into the park.
