Description
This handsome fellow was photographed in September, 2012, strolling across an expanse of grass on a farm in Somerset, England.
I have dubbed him a French country rooster because the final image includes bits of French script and French patterns in the textured, layered background.
Most of the textures used in the creation of this image are from my original paintings and collages.
The palette of this piece is an array of greens, golds, oranges, and red.

Thank you so much, Lois. Your beautiful Chanticleer was part of my inspiration!! (Hope you saw that in my description!) For any of you haven't seen it, do hop over to Lois' site for a look at Chanticleer. Her beautiful piece has lovely warm tones, fabulous texture, and features a wonderful Rhode Island Red.

Thanks for the v and f, Bob and Nancy! This guy had wonderful furry-looking legs and feet (actually feathers, of course)) which got kinda lost in the grass when he was standing (as in this photo), but which really were prominent when he was strutting around. They were an unexpected detail in his otherwise very dignified appearance!
