Fine art photography - French Lavender - by Georgia Fowler
There is something very inviting about the smell of lavender. Who can resist breaking off a small flower and crushing it to smell the wonderful aroma when walking past a bush? The bees seem to agree, as when it is in full bloom they are busy too pollinating and doing what bees do around flowers.
This particular lavender is French lavender and the area of Provence is the most famous region that produces it although it actually grows all over the country. Provence is actually the largest lavender producing region in the world. French lavender is considered to be the finest and is is renowned for its delicate sweet fragrance.
