Description:
Just a little art fair thingy. I do a hand called Chancery Cursive which I learned from Lindsay Rundles from the U.K. back in 1975-76 in Graphic Design course at WMU in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I could hardly understand teacher's brogue accent the first 3 weeks or so of class. Later on she took time with me to help me sort out what I wanted to do with my life.
I am very grateful to her for teaching me calligraphy.
Later on I learned to use a brush in Detroit, under Mr. Lothar Hoffman, at CCS, where I worked as secretary to the Dean (Arthur Greenblatt), in 1978. I've used a brush ever since, rarely, very rarely use a felt-tip pen, dipped, for envelopes. Cannot stand nibs as they "scratch" the paper, and feel like fingernails on chalkboard to me.
