Description:

This painting is part of the "Eternal Cycles" exhibition that I did in 1994, where I painted scenes and subjects from nature with an emphasis on the four elements: Earth, Air, Fire and Water. The poppy was from the Air series and shows seeds scattering through the air. I was pregnant with my first daughter while painting this, and I feel that it certainly influenced my attitude towards the subject.
