Title
Gayle's Highway
Artist
Mary Ellen Anderson
Medium
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Description
Colorful aspen with their white paper bark make vivid statements inter spaced between the deep green foliage of rugged towering pines along this highway into Estes Park Colorado. Scenic glimpses at the magnificent Rocky Mountains become breath taking surprises around every curve. Because of the way the highway follows the mountain then normally it would only rain on one side of the road or the other; I very handy gift of nature to a plein air painter.
This painting is dedicated in loving memory to my sister, Gayle A. Birdsong.

I thought at first that this was a gorgeous watercolor, then I realized it's a gorgeous oil instead. Gorgeous by any other name is still gorgeous! f/v don
