Geese Flying In
Photograph - Raw Abstract Photograph
I saw an abstract landscape in the rusty, rubbed off paint of the side of an old, metal retired army boat. Two scratches resemble geese flying into the landscape. There is even a reflection of the foliage in the pond or an estuary.
The LCM-8 rests quietly rusting in a local marina adjacent to the Bremerton shipyards. The whole length of the boat had rusty scratches like this. I panned the length of the boat through my camera lens and saw this scene about have way down the length of that boat. There it was waiting quietly to be discovered by someone like me. Geese flying into a marshland. I couldn't believe my eyes at first. From that day forth I have purposely sought out images that appear to be paintings painted by nature.
