Description:

Portrait after the famous image of our beloved first president but "through a glass darkly", so to speak, and a metaphor for our current troubled times. Behind the gloom is the light and the spirit of our nation, a light presently eclipsed but the painting show the way out of our present predicament for those who are see-ers and who have a sensitivity for this sort of light. It is the light of a nation that has true ideals and integrity and which stands up to oppression not one that imposes tyranny on smaller nations.
