In the heavily-developed Los Angeles area, a rare section of wild coast off the Pescadero Trail in Rancho Palos Verdes, California is a welcome respite from the city traffic. Here, crashing waves are turned to mist in this 10-second exposure, while the rocky beach is illuminated by the last rays of the setting sun as the brightness of the sky is held back using a graduated neutral density filter.
