Give Me Your Answer Do
Painting - Watercolor Signed/numbered Giclee Print
Leaning heavily on my imagination and a lot of feeling, I created a field of daisies that are a symbol of simplicity and the essence of delicacy. The daisy is the flower that gave us "loves me, loves me not" and the song lyric, "Give me your answer do." Chaucer called it the "daye's eye" (The eye of the day), meaning the sun. I wanted to capture the warmth of the sun and the feeling of love we feel from the daisy. The original painting was transparent watercolor. This painting was selected in "the best of watercolor Splash 10" publication found in most bookstores.
