Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
While traveling northward toward Glacier National Park in Montana, this scene that Ive named GLACIER VIEW popped up over the rise in the road. The trees rugged character speaks to the long winters and short summers in this part of northern Montana near the Canadian border. High winds, heavy snows, and rocky soil seem only to strengthen the evergreens in this part of our country. The glacier on the distant peak will still be there when the next snow comes again in early fall. This painting won 1st Place in Acrylics at the 2013 Thompson Valley Fall Art Show, Loveland, Colorado.
