Aloha, Jennifer. Thanks for you thoughtful comments. Wow, the "White Shawl" subject does have a Polynesian feel. Your works are also very strong! This one especially speaks to me. I look forward to seein more.

Description:

This painting was inspired by my model, Naomi. She has a very special tropical essence. Her spirit comes though in such a peaceful way. I just enjoy looking at her. The antherium has an under painting of deep ultramarine blue, then I brought the reds over on top. I think thats what makes it stand out. I call it Glory, because the flower to me glorifies her gentle countinance.
