Go Fourth Of July On The Mississippi River Aboard The Steam Boat Natchez In New Orleans Louisiana
Photograph - Photography
This stunning and dynamic photo was achieved by the over exposure from the setting sun, the appears the mighty Mississippi River is ablaze, he photo was slightly darkened to reveal the mist and water flowing from the wooden paddle wheel of the Steamboat Natchez. In this photo the boat moved directly into the path of the setting sun. The photo was taken from Algiers Point located across the river from New Orleans, Louisiana as I was waited for hours for the 4th of July Fireworks display.
The setting sun reflects off the stern wooden paddle wheel of the Natchez Steamboat as it pulls away from dockside on 4th of July. The famous steamboat travels downstream and returns in time at 9:00 pm for all to have a river view of the dual spectacular fireworks display. New Orleans fireworks on 4th of July ranks 5th in the best in country for viewing. Through the mist of the mist of the water splashing from the wooded paddle wheel, firework wait dock side for the even spectacular. This photo was taken across the river in Algiers and I used a Nikon 820 zoom, macro, and manual settings. The photograph was slightly darkened to reveal the beautiful golden reflection from the setting sun. This photo would be a great collectors item for any boat lover.
