Golden Sunlight On A Fall Morning - North Georgia
Photograph - Photo
When I lived in the Atlanta area, the general nearness to the North Georgia mountains meant that it was possible to get up on a weekend morning and wander the back-roads for hours. It was a particularly pleasant way to spend a day when the fall colors made their grand appearance!
My morning meanderings were so random and spontaneous that I hate to admit I have no idea where this photo was taken. I believe it may have been in the general direction of Ellijay, but beyond that I can only say somewhere in the North Georgia mountains.
Despite not remembering where this fall color was, I still remember the moment well. I remember coming around a curve on a narrow country lane and spotting that old rustic shed on the horizon. It looked to be what remained of some family's old homestead, a mountain pasture returning to nature in front of it. But the morning sunlight created a moment of sheer beauty that transcends knowing or really caring exactly where it was.
Simply it was Autumn somewhere in America, and a glorious one.
