Goodbye Classic America
Absinthe Art By Michelle LeAnn Scott
Goodbye Classic America - is a portrait of the classic iconic Bette Davis, in Hollywood she was at the top of her game. Legendary actress of classic films of an era that is long gone. She stands like a statue that is fading with time, along with all that stood for that time...decades ago.
All that stood was the classic Americana, things were different then. When a handshake and your word meant something. Values were different, morale was higher, everybody back then were united together as the fabric of America. Television was mostly wholesome, the family unit was highly valued. The movies were great, when actors and actresses seriously honed their craft to perfection...because after all, they only had their acting skills to rely on to make a film work...no explosions, violence, sex scenes and other "fluff" to fill the movie. When someone paid for a ticket, they knew they were getting value...not being ripped off like most entertainment today.
Yes, the good ol' days...when you could breathe. Those days are long gone, how truly sad it is how we have turned out. Is it just me, or do you find yourself looking around and wondering what happened to this place we all call home? There is a deep sadness in my soul, longing for those days again.
I love the old classic movies, they are the best! Bette Davis was beautiful with her big beautiful eyes, and she was a silver screen goddess. Making many movies in Hollywood and playing all sorts of characters, some good and some bad. But most of all she is loved and missed, may you R.I.P. you will never be forgotten. This will make a beautiful work of art on any wall, as well as a great conversation piece. I hope you enjoy :)
*Note: you can put the greeting card in a really beautiful frame and put it on your shelf for a great conversation piece, point of meditation or small piece of art.
