This is very interesting Marian. It is curious that bricks were used to fill the opening..and that no name is written on the tomb but it is maintained.....a bit eerie!! :) voted, tweeted!

Great shot, Marian! I think the really old tombs and headstones are very interesting. It's curious that there is no marking at all on this one. I like the textures you used. V

This tomb was made of brick and cement. It was in a very old cemetery in a farming community. It was not the tomb of a wealthy planter. So perhaps the cement had crumbled and the family repaired the tomb or it had recently been used. Thanks for the vote and interest.
