Description:

I painted this two years ago and just found it in my studio. I thought it was worth sharing. I was out just south of Grand Haven in the fall walking off my sadness and taking pictures. Came home with a wealth to work off of. It was waaaay too cold and windy to paint out there. This painting and "Selah" were rendered from that adventure. The surf was really pounding that day. Looking at this painting, I can feel the cold coming from the west and the dampness in the air from the storm that had just passed over. As well, I can feel the sting of blowing sand. A wonderful moody day at the beach.
