So eerie...and spooky! Reminds of good mysteries...not anything like my favorite sunrises and sunsets that you do, but intriguing and inviting to the mystery lover in me...

O.M.G I have never seen this one before I don't think? That bridge! We have walked across it a few times and it has some of the best color and contrast and views EVER. We travel to Boone, etc a lot during the year. And this photograph is incredible. Look at that! WOW!! Might tie with the Bodie pic(s)...HAHA.

The Mile High Swinging Bridge at Grandfather Mountain is a site to see! The Bridge to Nowhere leads to the unknown!

Pompano Beach, FL - United States

so radical. something about bridges, but this one that appears to lead to nothing is just thrilling to observe!

Oceanside, CA - United States

This is one of my favorite images. I have shared many of the fantastic images of Dave Allen's on my Facebook so my freinds and family (mostly in CA), could see this wonderful work (giving him credit of course). I love all the ones with the frothy, fizzy water that you can just feeeeeel between your toes....but there is something so compelling, so alluring... about this picture. I would walk to the end of this bridge...expecting to be cocooned in silence and bliss :-) This picture gets mo VOTE.

I remember being on vacation back in the 50's with my Grandmother & Mother. My Mother was the navigator and terrible at reading maps. Somehow we managed to get lost & ended up on Grandfather Mountain. I remember that dark & foggy night like it was yesterday

Dave Allen replied:

That's got to be a bit creepy up there on a dark and foggy night, ask me how I know, lol!
