Description:

Prophecies from Grandfather. Second painting in a diptych. On wood panel with 3.5″ wood wrap, painted. 42″H x 31″W.
This is the second of a dramatic box painting. It is large and the 3″ wood gallery wrap lends this painting extra dimension and depth.
At the bottom of this painting a figure flies, like in the #1 painting, except this figure is more fleshed out, and is being swept up into the blue through a powerful tunnel. The figure is in arabesque form, as though jumping and dancing. You can see his attempt to turn away from his fate. But then perhaps he�s thinking something completely different. He wants to jump!
Surrounding him is the action of his world, of his thoughts.
Finding solace in fear takes courage. The courage to go ahead and do it anyway.
