Oh, how this takes me back. Maybe you gotta experience the life to appreciate it but this pic is so evocative. This retired government worker is homesick for the good old days back in Illinois--being young again would also be nice but wish in one hand and see how quick if fills up. I cut corn out of beans in many fields like this--not much shade in a quarter mile row and all you got to look forward to when you reach the end is to turn around and go back the other way for another half quarter. Do you feel me Alan? Folks, especially in the Midwest, take a trek around Alan's webpage and enjoy the view.

Alan Look replied:

Thanks Joe. It does take one back. Quarter mile rows were sometimes a God send. We pulled corn tassles on rows half a mile to a mile a lot of days. Some days we would luck out and find a waterway in the middle.

You have captured Central Illinois so beautifully here. I would know exactly what I was looking at, even if I hadn't looked to see where you are from. Great work

Alan Look replied:

Thanks Kara.
