Description:

This is the main barn at the Greenbank Farm. It's a community owned old farm on Whidbey Island in Washington State. This farm started out as a dairy farm (see the posts inside that determined the cow stalls). Then it became a Loganberry farm, which most residents relate to having worked as kids picking berries. Every year they still hold a Loganberry Festival in late July, complete with pie eating contests and live music. Eventually a winery bought the farm to use the berries for its products. Then they couldn't make a go of it, and that's when the community stepped in. A storied past !
