In this wolf I see perhaps he is trying to act tougher than he truly is. The tree is perhaps protecting him? In one eye I see courage, in the eye, hesitation and a need for his mother still. I love how it can be interpretated in different ways. I like his stance too. Like a colt- almost too young but I know of these wolves, they are not to be toyed with. You captured a lot in this painting. Congratulations.
