Grubb equatorial telescope. This reflector telescope, made by the Grubb Telescope Company) is shown on its equatorial mount. The internal clock driving mechanism is shown, ensuring that the telescope rotates with the Earth to keep celestial objects in view. This telescope was installed at the observatory of Hungarian astronomer Miklos von Konkoly-Thege (1842-1916). Founded in 1871, this observatory is located in O'Gyalla, Hungary. Artwork from 'A Handbook of Descriptive and Practical Astronomy' (1890, 4th edition, volume II) by British author George Frederick Chambers (1841–1915).
