Description:

Another one-of-a-kind Raku creation inspired by the night sky. Although the colors appear to be mainly copper in this photo, in actuality you'll find more turquoise around the rim as you see towards the center. The glazes are a combination of copper sand--one side being glossy and reflective while the other side is a matt finish, thus depicting the half moon. The piece may be displayed in a decorative plate holder or wall hung from a wire to be fitted into the grooved foot ring. The artist uses a distinctive signature.
