Hanging Laundry In The Summer Wind
Painting - Oil On Canvas
Her dog kept looking at her and whining. What was wrong with him? The woman had just bought the dress, one that had apparently been very sought after as her two uppity neighbors both wanted it badly too. But she had it now. The man at the store had warned her that the dress came with a price. She couldn't think of that now though. She had to hang the clothes. But with every article she hung, she felt the wind getting stronger, as if it was going through her. Straight through her. A week later the clothes were still hanging but the woman was missing. Her dog was lying outside in a patch of yellow and red flowers oddly enough growing under the clothesline.
