Cute poem re cute dog. I know exactly how dear animals are and also sleeping with them. My two cats like it that I am often sick! Thanks a bunch.

Bruce, Thank you for your remarks. This picture could be better. For example, Happy's eyes do not show up as in the painting. I just wanted to post this picture for now and will do another one soon. I enjoy your art. It is so insightful and of course it it because you are thoughtful artist with deep humanitarian feelings. Besides, your colors "POP." Smiles, AEW

Hey, Anne-Elizabeth! What a sweet puppy. The rest is hard to see, of course, and I look forward to seeing a clearer photo of it. Reflections can sure make photographing difficult.

Description:

The picture has too much gleam.
That's what it must seem,
But I had to post this
Cause Happy's the mostest,
She's the dog of my dreams.

Now she is seven,
middle age in dog years,
She follows me around
Always in arrears..

I will give her some treats,
and turn around
She gives me that MORE look,
Not emitting a sound.

I love this doggie with all of my heart.
Even when giving an s.b.d. -art.
I try to not sleep close to her rear at night.
But she gets turned around
And this is my plight.

All in all, who could ask for more.
She doesn't talk back
Altho' she does snore.

Bob the cat was here first.
He was 'bout the same size
as little Happy was then.
But how time flies.

As time went on and Happy grew big,
The hierarchy here did not change a fig.
Bob would hiss and his back would go up,
If his food was approached by my now grown pup.

The moral is this:
Just because you are bigger than someone else,
Does not mean you're at the top on the shelf.
There is something special about being FIRST.
And now I am going to end this verse.

From the land of LameRhymes and HappyTimes.
