Painting - Water Color On 140 Lb Paper
I have portrayed here a hindu girl child wearing traditional jewellery and cloths, her hair is adorned with flowers and she is wearing 'Jhumkas' - the danglers in ears,a 'red bindi' on her forehead, she is also fond of a red stone stud on her pierced nose.
The original painting does not have the 'Happy Diwali' written on it,I have written this only for prints/cards.
Diwali is a major hindu festival in India. In 2012 it is going to be celebrated on 13th Nov. All houses will be lit up with traditional diyas or candles or electric bulbs and lots of fireworks will illuminate the evening sky.
Diwali is celebrated to mark the victory of good over evil, new accounting year for business class and Goddess Lakshmi the bestower of wealth is worshipped on this day !
This festival is also celebrated over a period of 5 days and infact kids enjoy crackers the whole month as long as the crackers are available in stock !
