Description:

Inspired by the work of Martin Johnson Heade, this lovely panorama depicts the ancient agricultural practice in New England of harvesting salt hay from the coastal marshes. Delicate, and luminous the sky over the open marsh glows pink at the end of a long august day. Acrylic on stretched linen, finished with an archival varnish.
