He Still Believed In His Imaginary Friend
Painting - Ballpoint Pen, Acrylic, Spraypaint, Solvents And Varnish On Board
I work within the idea that all of us still have child inside us. We all secretly still believe in magic. Children make the most interesting visual connections to words. Their vocabulary, not having a visual reference for the word, is then connected to their imagination and an image or object is randomly connected to the new word they did not previously know. Which makes for very exciting topics. These works are created from distressing my image surface and the allowing the characters to evolve from that. I use ballpoint pen, oils, acrylic, spray paint and solvents to achieve the look of my work.
