High Arctic Camel
Digital Art - Digital 3d Rendering/cgi
A pair of shaggy camels stroll through grassy hills dotted with larch trees. A rocky, meandering stream cuts across their path. Perhaps it's a good place to stop for a drink.
A few days ago, my dad sent me an article regarding the discovery of a breed of camel that lived in northern Canada three and a half million years ago. The region was warmer than it is today, but it was still pretty chilly. Apparently, the climate was very wet and had forests of trees such as larch trees. I decided the camel and his environment would be a pretty good fit for my style of art. I gave the camles woolly coats since they would be living in a cooler ecosystem rather than the dry hot places that camels live in today.
