Description
The High Bush Cranberry Tree produce an edible fruit that is less bitter than the Eurasian plants and are also more colorful in the fall. A number of different types of wildlife will eat the fruit but birds usually wait until they have froze and thawed several times before they will eat them. So the fruit will often remain on the plants well into winter. The plants prefer soil that is moist along streams and wooded hillsides, they flower May-July and fruit develops in August-September.
