For some time now I have been trying to express a looser style in my traditional art and have really struggled with this due to extreme pressure when studying art to conform to methods of creating art by copying master's works - often with a magnifying glass in one hand and a brush in the other - sadly I started as an abstract expressionist and had that "taught out of me". This work is more what I once was, although not quite where I would like to be, but it was inspired by Klimt, but in no way whatsoever is a copy of his art - just hints of his style which appealed to me. I started traditionally and ended up doing about a third by digital painting - for me the result was an exciting change from my usual tight approach - or from many messes I would never have posted!
