Description:

This Large wall sculpture is sculpted formally after a "Hokidachi" style of Bonsai. Directly translated this means it is styled in the shape of a broom. It is slightly larger than a piece of paper and is completely made of copper. The design for leaf structure of the tree is very unique and was custom cut to express dramatically gestural lines found in all sorts of leaves that are wholey original. At the bottom of the sculpture shrubs hug a slate riverstone that was collected from the Heldeberg Mountains near Albany, NY. Its made of 24 gauge copper and has been work hardened to be resiliant against bumps and dings. A green patina was used for the leaves and a liver of sulfer patina was used for the trunk.
