Hi Otis, this is my second visit to your site today. Sometime ago you had mentioned "Frederick Douglass' lecture in 1893 on the subject of Haiti." Frederick Douglass was born a slave in Maryland. he was sent as an ambassador representing the United States in Haiti, 1889-1891. Frederick Douglas delivered his lecture on Haiti in America, at the Haitian Pavilion Dedication Ceremonies at the Chicago World Fair, on January 2, 1893. This document is available at:--------------------------------------------http://thelouvertureproject.org/index.php?title=Frederick_Douglass_lecture_on_Haiti_(1893) It is a very good, informative historic read. I made copies and intend to examine it well. I thank you Otis for directing us to that noteworthy site. L/F

Beautiful sense of feeling in this. I love the affect of the black and white contrasted with the colors on the flag. Very important piece, moving and powerful. L/F
