Description:

I saw this picture and it reminded me of a horse named Little John. Years ago I worked for a period of time as a horsehandler. This is a color study of these animals that I come to grow so fond of. I hope you are well where ever you are Little John.

WOW!!! What an amazing painting. I don't think I could accomplish this even if I tried. You did an excellent job of this horse. I am sure he/she would be extactic to see the finish product. So real, so lifelike. I feel like I can reach out and stroke his mane. Absolutely stunning job. Cudos.

What a beautiful, thoughtful picture! A very interesting vantage point as well. I can tell you love horses to portray a horse in such a pensive state.
