Murray, I just want to really Thank You for showing people a place like this. Most People can't imagine that a hall like this exists. A hallway such as this, I remember well. As I paced up and down for many hours of many days, I now realize it kept me from harming myself. Sometimes Life and our minds make us out of control and we do need to be in places we do not want to be.

South River, NJ - United States

Great shot. What this just a hospital or a small town as well? There are a few like this in nj where they were basically small towns that are now abandoned.

Murray Bloom replied:

It's a huge facility, John, with many buildings. It's where the city of Washington D.C. used to warehouse their mentally impaired.

I can't tell you how much I love this image. You have great control over your image. Very nice.

Although I find these images disturbing on an emotional level re your description, on a technical level I have to admire the strength of detail - play of light versus dark - and overal compositional factors. Intense and dramatic.
