Description:
This is Sasha, my blue point Siamese, who is about a year old. She showed up in my backyard one day, skinny, starving, and with 2 kittens. Obviously she had been on her own for a long time, since she was terrified of people. Many of her behaviors go beyond being feral, however, and seem to indicate abuse. She has come a long way, and is now a healthy cat.
Since she is living the good life now and no longer fighting to survive, she has just recently started playing like a normal cat. I took this during one of her playful moments. She still does not allow petting, but loves to play with toys and take treats from my hand.
I plan to donate a portion of sales of any of my cat pictures to our local cat rescue organization SOCKS (Save Our Cats and Kittens). They are a great non-profit organization and no kill shelter that rescues hundreds of cats from being euthanized at other shelters every year.
